Description of Internship or Research Opportunity: CBL is home to undergraduate research students who are a part of the Maryland Sea Grant REU program (https://www.mdsg.umd.edu/reu). During this 12-week program, each student works with a mentor on an individual research project. It’s a special opportunity to develop your research skills and interests by working with top science mentors studying America’s largest estuary.
We are hopeful that the REU program will be in person in 2022 - but we will run a virtual program if conditions require.

Research areas include: Benthic environment, Climate change, Contaminants, Environmental chemistry, Estuarine processes, Fisheries, Modeling and analysis.
Scholarships, Fellowships Associated with the Course: Each REU fellow will receive:
$7,200 stipend
Free housing at your research lab
Round-trip travel expenses
